The task is to design and price a water and grain storage facility for a village that has fifty families.
The storage facility must be able to contain a two week supply of water and grain.
The walls and roof of the facility will be made out of metal sheet that costs $14 per m².
The facility must be placed on a 20cm thick concrete floor. The concrete costs $640 per m³.
Keep the cost as low as possible. In all your calculations consider an appropriate degree of accuracy.
To Do:
Final numbers for grain/water use per person/in total
can someone please do the final calculations for the grain storage thingie according to my example with the water storage? the excel sheet that i used is below:
you just have to change the cell next to the one that says "m^3=" to change the volume.... not that you need to. um, supplementary material, i guess!
